The Guarantee In Our Hearts

Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

The Holy Spirit has been given to us to bear witness within us of the love of God. The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit and testifies to us that we are the beloved children of God. Because of the residing presence of this guarantee of the love of God - the precious Holy Spirit - we now know that we have been accepted and approved by God. This is the ultimate gift that God gave us - the gift of the Holy Spirt that is a seal of guarantee that we will walk in the fulness of our salvation. The fulness of our salvation is the love of God, For there is nothing greater than the love of God. When we know we are loved - we are free. This is the freedom that the Holy Spirit communicates to us - that we are the beloved of God.

This divine love that the Spirit of God discloses to us is revelatory based. It is an unveiling of our sight to know and believe God's love for us. This is an internal working of glory - a bearing of inward witness. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Adoption, the Spirit of His Son by whom we call God our Father (Romans 8:15,16 & Galatians 4:6). This is the wonder of the Christian life - that God dwells in us now by His Spirit and is affirming His eternal love for us. We have been sealed by this work of glory and this has now become our identity - we are His!

And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him (Ephesians 1:13,14 NLT).

And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30 NLT).

Know today that God's guarantee of His love and ownership lives in you. You have been purchased with a price and are wholly His today as you have now become the temple He dwells in. Furthermore, because you are wholly His - His love is wholly yours as well. You and Him have become one because of this seal of the Holy Spirit. What liberty you have been granted in Christ - the liberty of His Spirit living in you and loving you wholly!

Lift your head up today and know that you have the eternal life-giving guarantee of God's Holy Spirit. He has indwelled you by His love and has released you from all bondage of fear. In His love, fear can not live because fear has torment. In God's love there is only acceptance that never fails you. His love upholds you and reminds you that you are His very own.
