For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

We live in a world that is fallen and where the flesh of man is idolized and worshipped, What is exalted in this world is human achievement based on human talent. Therefore this fallen system reveres and esteems human wisdom, noble natural birth and the power of the world's system - financial wealth.
We know that as Christians we are not of this world and its fallen system. Now we are of God and are a part of another kingdom and another system of rulership - the kingdom of the Son of His love. Here God's selection and election is in Christ's love. It is based on faith in His Son. Therefore our new identity of wisdom, noble birth, power and riches are found in Christ alone.
In our new creation mindset we live life to God alone and direct all of our reverence and worship unto God and not unto man. The Word of God goes as far as to commend us to not even know ourselves after our natural descent, in accordance to the flesh (2Corinthians 5:16,17). In our new birth that is of God we are to live by faith in the Son of God that loved us and died for us to forgive us of our sins, We are now to communicate our faith in Him by acknowledging every good gift we have in Him (Philemon 1:6) - which is the riches of His glory in us - the Lord Jesus Christ!
In Christ we are God's holy people, His royal priesthood, His very own purchased possession. We are of God now and not of man, thus of Him we are in Christ Jesus. We are partakers of a new way and nature - His divine nature because we are members of His body, of His fresh and bones (Ephesians 5:30). To be fully God's means to live life wholly unto God in full submission to His love and in full compliance to His living nature within us. This is a life lived on Earth before God and not before man!
Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ; (Romans 1:5,6 NKJV)
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV)
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. (Colossians 3:23,24 NKJV).
