The Light shines on in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].

God is light and in Him we move and have our being. We fellowship with our God in His light. The Apostle John writes that if we walk in the light as He is in the light we have fellowship with one another and His blood purifies us (1John 1:7). Our purity is found in His light alone. For as He is pure light so are we in this world. Through our new birth in Christ we have become the light of the world. Our mission is to let our light shine bright so men will see and glorify God (Matthew 5:16).

God's light is His dominion on Earth. We, the body of Christ, are created to reflect and disseminate His light in this world where satan is the prince of the air. God has freely and lavishly infilled us with His divine light. This is the light of His glory. As we radiate His light we dispel the darkness found in this world. This light is the light of His love. Love is light. The maturity of God's love in our hearts is what flushes and casts out the darkness of fear that satan is.

In Christ we are filled to overflowing with the abundance of His light, which is His life. In Him is life and His life is the light of man (John 1:4). We have been indwelled by the power of the Holy Spirit with this divine life. In His life is only life and there is no death. His life is immortal, incorruptible and indestructible. The Apostle Paul tells us that God alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light (1Timothy 6:16). This is what we have been filled with when we received the Son of God as Saviour and Lord. This is pure dominion over darkness and every ensnaring circumstance of life on Earth. We dwell in His unapproachable light and are hidden from all evil!

We have been given the right to be children of Light, born of God. It pleased God to give us access into His Kingdom of Light. We are to never fear darkness as darkness has no longer a hold on us. We are darkness' worst fear - a born again believer knowing that they are the light of the world and walking in the fulness of this revelation. Light has overcome darkness forever, triumphing over it and making a public display of its victory.

You reflect God's light. When you walk in His light, you walk in His dominion. Stand fast in the authority of Light by letting your light so shine. Take courage today and go shine!
