Pure Sight

Updated: Mar 6, 2022

But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;

Matthew 13:16

Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

Matthew 5:8

To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.

Titus 1:15

And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Hebrews 4:13

Purity of heart is purity of sight. Only faith in God can produce such purity. A believing heart is a heart that sees God and is pure before God. This purity comes through the purity of His ever-abiding and never-perishing Word. Pure child like faith comes from the pure Word of God. His Word creates a pure undefiled heart, which is a believing heart.

Do not depart from that which gives you a pure heart. A departure from His Word is an entry into defilement and causes impure sight. Only with the washing of the pure Word of God is the filth of worldliness removed off of us. It is the vision of the world that creates a marred vision - a vision twisted by deception. Whereas the vision of the Word of God creates a pure heart to see God and to see as God sees - all things made new and pure in His blood.

For pure vision today, put your gaze back onto the eternal Word of God. Take an inventory of that which you behold - that which captivates your heart and takes your gaze. His Word keeps us accountable and produces a sight that is clean and pure.

Every word of God is pure;

He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

Do not add to His words,

Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

Proverbs 30:5,6
