Our Good Shepherd

Updated: Sep 25, 2021

I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

John 10:14,15

Jesus is our good shepherd and we are the sheep of His pasture. How wonderful it is to know that we have a good shepherd that knows and loves us. Jesus said that as He knows us we too know Him. We know His voice! His voice leads us in His good pasture - the pasture of His Word. He alone satisfies our soul and offers us the drink of life. Jesus laid down His life so that we might live His abundant life. This is the life of righteousness that He came to give us.

Be strengthened today in your walk with your shepherd. His Spirit is guiding you into safety daily. His Word is keeping you sound continually. His love is casting out all fear from your heart as you behold His love for you. Your shepherd never leaves you nor forsakes you. He is with you always. As you hear His voice He too wants to hear your voice. Talk to Him. Do not doubt His voice and guide in your life. Trust that even as He laid down His life, He is now upholding every detail of your life and perfecting all things that pertain to you. In Him alone you are complete.

Trust your good shepherd and follow in His steps. He leads you by the still waters of His presence. His voice is your peace and comfort. Keep listening to His voice. Never fear that His voice will leave you. He is with you even to the end of the age.

...He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!”

So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently say,

“The Lord is my Helper [in time of need], I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”

Hebrews 13:5,6 AMP

"...I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

~ Jesus, Matthew 28:20
