For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
1Peter 1:23 NIV
For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.
1Peter 1:23 NLT
...for you have been born again [that is, reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] not of seed which is perishable but [from that which is] imperishable and immortal, that is, through the living and everlasting word of God.
1Peter 1:23 AMP

Our new-creation life is a life of unveiling, a life of revealing of what God has already done for us in Christ. This is just the opposite of a natural life that is based on waiting for something to be still done for us. At times, as Christians we wait on something to happen when it has already happened and all we are to do now is walk out the finished work of our salvation. The walk of the Christian faith is a walk of an assurance of things made ready for us to walk in before the foundation of the world
...just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
Ephesians 1:4,5
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10
...continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
Philippians 2:12,13
Our Christian life in Christ is most supernatural because it is based on a supernatural work that God worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead. Through the resurrection of the Lord Jesus we received newness of life. When we confessed the Lord Jesus and believed in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead we became born again.
In John 3:5,6 Jesus states that the only way we can enter into the supernatural kingdom of God is through a supernatural birth - " ...unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." We are born of the Spirit of God and thus are supernatural through this new spiritual birth.
In Christ we are no longer waiting for something spectacular and supernatural to happen but we acknowledge that it has already happened. This is the walk of faith. This is how we demonstrate our faith, by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6).
As a child of God you are a supernatural life-giving spirit that is housed in a natural body. Your life now is of the Spirit of God and is divinely sustained. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you (Romans 8:11).
Therefore we are not waiting for the supernatural to happen, we now acknowledge that it has already happened in Christ. For now we are the supernatural children of God!
