Made Alive

Updated: Dec 11, 2021

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Ephesians 2:1-6

" ...One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.”

John 9:25

When we became a born again Christian we became alive to God and alive to His life within us! The liberty of the Spirt of God is to live LIFE - to live in God's unending eternal life. To be alive in God is to not fear death because death has no longer a hold nor a claim on us!

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God... (2Corinthians 5:14-18)

What will it be like to walk in the fulness of the revelation that we are now new creation beings, born of God, never to taste death nor be subject to the corruption that is found in this world? We are a glorious brand new creation of God. We are His children and as He is so are we now!

Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us. (1John 4:17-19)

A fuller revelation of being new creation beings of God is a deeper understanding and a fuller persuasion of His eternal love for us! This is faith. Faith is the liberty of His understanding of love and freedom and possibility. His love is so great towards us that He laid down His life so that we can now live in the newness of His existence which is from above! This is a life of resurrection. We are born again!

Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because

“All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.”

Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. (1Peter 1:22-25)

In Christ we are of those that endure forever, born of His eternal Spirit and made alive in Him. The Word of God tells us that our mortal bodies have been quickened by the Holy Spirit that lives in us, the very same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now abides in us and works mightily in us (Romans 8:11, Ephesians 1:17-23).

Know today that His love has taken you in - conveyed you out of the clutches of satan's dominion and has eternally placed you in the Kingdom of the Son whom He loves. Today you are free because you live in Him and can know Him more and more. This is what being alive is - to move and have your being in God!

"I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life." ~ Jesus, John 5:24 NLT
