In Remembrance Of Jesus

In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

1Corinthians 11:25,26 NKJV

Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. John 6:53 NKJV

And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1John 5:11,12 NKJV

Good Friday and Resurrection Day is the pinnacle of all our Christian celebrations. These celebrate and keep before us the most glorious reality of our God who is Love. Our God came in human flesh in the body of Jesus to partake of flesh and blood so that He could entirely and completely destroy Satan's hold of the power of death that through fear he had over all humanity.

Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.

(Hebrews 2:14,15 NLT)

Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice to wholly purchase us back to God and fully satisfy the wrath of God that sin demands. On the cross of Calvary Jesus took on His body the sin of the world so that we be justified and cleansed of all sin - that through faith in Jesus we be made right in the sight of God. This is freely ascribed to us as we believe the redemptive work of Christ.

The redemption Jesus paid for is a free gift to all that will believe in the One God sent. In this redemption is our salvation. This salvation is by grace through faith, a perfect work of God. Through our faith in Him, the Christ the Son of the Living God, we have become the most blessed recipients of a new eternal life. This is the very life of God that we have received through our communion with the broken body and blood of Jesus. Herewith we have the full victory of the new covenant that is based on promises sealed in the precious most pure and holy blood of Jesus.

His death and resurrection is our confidence of triumph over all that we will ever face in life on Earth. We now can silence the intimidation and fear that the devil falsely roars. In our new life in God we can boldly stand and proclaim the victory of the cross of Christ and that in His resurrection we now have an indestructible life!

Jesus died so we may purely live unto Him and be made one with our Heavenly Father God for all eternity. We are now wholly His - spirit, soul and body. Jesus by coming in the flesh has fully invested and paid for our wholeness and complete soundness.

May we know Him fully in His death, burial, total defeat of Satan, resurrection and ascension to His seat of dominion. Where He sits we abide in and as we abide in that seat of authority - The Living Word of God - He abides in us unto total victory. We are now forever ONE with Him the overcomer of death and the grave!

I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave. (Jesus, Revaltion 1:18 NLT)
