But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:4-7

God's life is from above and we that are His have been given access into this divine life. This is the eternal life of God. This is the life of dominion in Jesus. This is His life of resurrection power that surges in our spirit-man as born again Christians. There is nothing more supernatural and spectacular than being born again, born of the living Spirit of God, born of divine life and power! Think on that. In Christ you have been granted eternal life. A life that is from above and is on top of all - far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come (Ephesians 1:21).
Without renewing our mind by the Word of God we will not be able to walk in the fulness of the revelation of our new-creation reality. Unfortunately too many find themselves prioritizing the world over the Word of God. For some this is not a conscious decision, but never-the-less will still give an account to God for every deed done in the body.
"...For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written:
“As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.”
So then each of us shall give account of himself to God." (Romans 14:10-12)
In light of this we are to live soberly before our God, being filled by His Spirit and living for Him. "See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:15-18).
We are called to steward the manifold grace of God by walking in the gifts and callings He has endowed us with. "As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen" (1Peter 4:10,11).
The world teaches us to prioritize ourselves, family, 'earning a living' (jobs) over our God-life and divine calling. Unfortunately when we subject ourselves to the pressures of the world we succumb to the ways of the world. Living in this world as the world lives is how we get stuck in the system of the world - living a life that is far below His Heavenly calling. This is how we end up not stewarding the life from above and we start preserving the 'low' Earthly life. Let us lay aside every encumbrance and sin that can easily ensnare us and keep us entrenched in the world.
The Word of God instructs us to forsake this worldly living by denying ourselves and following after Him. Jesus tells us, "He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor" (John 12:25,26).
It is time to wake up to our eternal life and realize what the Apostle Peter writes - that the end of all things is at hand and we are to be serious and watchful in our prayers (1Peter 4:7). The place to start is to open your Bible again and begin to meditate the Word of God - allow His Word to talk to you. Meditate that you are in Christ now and are after the manner of the Heavenly man Jesus (1Corintians 15:49). Open your heart in prayer to God and fellowship with the Holy Spirit as you still yourself and forsake the cares of the world.
"For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory." (Romans 8:29,30 NLT)
"For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren. And those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being]." (Romans 8:29,30 AMPC)
In Christ you have escaped the corruption that is in the world and can live in the liberty of the Son of God. You are born again and live life from above - the life that is on top of the world and over all cares found in it. You are of God now!
