Give Your Moment An Outcome

Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
Romans 4:16-17
The life of the believer is a life of possibility. The possibility of a desired outcome is only assured to the believer in God, the God to whom all things are possible (Mark 9:23, Matt. 19:26). Abraham and Sarah, after a long season of impossibility, futile effort and unfulfilled desire remained childless. Yet all that changed once God and man met in faith! What was impossible became possible, what was futile effort, became a fulfillment of promise and what was unfulfilled desire turned into joy unspeakable as it became a glorious outcome.
God stood before Abraham and pronounced a promise and as Abraham believed that promise, the impossibility of his moment was disrupted. The faith of Abraham to believe the promise of God enabled God to perform His possibility and to change the outcome of Abraham's moment. As we mature in Christ, we realize that through the communion of the Word of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, we too can give our moment a glorious outcome.

The place that we meet with God is the place of faith. Faith is the place where our persuasion of belief is fully trusting in God - knowing that in Christ we have been given access into His pleasure. His pleasure is His love and in His love we have become one with God and are now in this world as He is presently in Heaven - fully assured of His perfect overcoming love towards us (1 John 4:17). A strong persuasion of belief in this makes us withstand the pressures of life on Earth. Therefore as we believe we enter into the rest that only the Word of God can provide.
Our Bible is full of examples of the impossible becoming possible when man engages with the Word of God in faith. The Bible bears examples of God and man meeting in that faith-place of full assurance and overturning all impossible situations - whether it be Noah in the midst of persecution building an ark for the preservation of God's seed; Abraham and Sarah bearing the precious seed; Gideon's victory over the Midianites in vindication of God's divine seed; or Ezra and Nehemiah in rebuilding the temple - to perpetuate the living seed of the Word of God.
In the book of Hebrews we are admonished to engage with the Word of God through the hearing of faith - to mix the Word that we hear with faith. Faith in the Word places us in the finished workings of God, so as we believe what He has promised us, we are assured of a good end - we walk in the fruit of our faith. This assurance of faith enables us to enter into the rest of His Word, "... we who have believed do enter that rest..." (Hebrews 4:2,3).
In Christ, we have been given a divine ability, an endowment of grace, that through faith we can frame our world and give our moment a good outcome - a desired end - an outcome that will glorify God. As the Body of Christ arises and declares the Word of life-possibility over every moment, the world will know - will perceive and will see - the glory of the Lord.
"For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the Lord." (Hab. 2:14 NLT).
